    A record-breaking season for the Wilmington College softball team came to an end Saturday as the Lady Quakers were swept by Mount Union, 3-0 and 5-1, at 23rd Street Field.

    The Wilmington College softball team was eliminated from Ohio Athletic Conference playoff contention Tuesday as the Lady Quakers was swept by Muskingum in an OAC doubleheader. Wilmington lost the opener, 1-0, and was defeated in the nightcap, 6-3, at Donna Newberry Field.

    Thanks to their 4-3 victory in the first game of the non-conference doubleheader split with Wittenberg Sunday, the Wilmington College softball team secured the first winning fastpitch season in school history. The Lady Quakers dropped the second game to the Tigers, 5-3.
