Delhi, OH (December
21, 2002) -- The Lady Quakers of Wilmington College overcame 38

St. Joseph 69-53. Megan Woodruff (Sabina/East Clinton) scored a

Woodruff to gain a two-point advantage. The Quakers lead would grow
to 12 just 12:15 into the contest at 16-4. Mt. St. Joseph (7-2)
then scored four straight points to cut the deficit to eight with
just under ten minutes left in the half. A three-point basket by
Tiffani Glaser (Kettering/Fairmont) and a lay-up from Tara Rausch
(Marysville/Fairbanks) helped give the Green and White a 13-point
advantage, their largest of the half. The Lionesses scored five
straight to cut the lead to seven, the closest they would come the
rest of the way before Wilmington scored five straight points to
end the half up by 12 at 30-18.
In the first
half, the Lady Quakers shot just 37.5 percent (12-of-32) but the

the period.

came out strong in the second half, out-scoring the Green and White
9-4 in the first four minutes of the period before the Lady Quakers
went on an 18-4 run to put the game out of reach for the hosts.

the way, scoring 22 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including going 2-for-4
from beyond three point range, and a perfect 8-for-8 from the free
throw line. Rausch scored 18 points for the victors while Siobhan
Zerilla (Cincinnati/Mercy) pulled down a game-leading 15 rebounds.
Mt. St. Joseph
was led by Tasha Reid who scored 20 points while Emily Day pitched
