Lady Quakers win third straight

BLUFFTON, OH (November 26, 2002) -- The Wilmington College Lady Quaker basketball team defeated the Beavers of Bluffton College (0-3) by a 74-49 score on Tuesday evening.

Tara Rausch (Marysville/Fairbanks) scored a game-high 14 points while pulling down 10 rebounds in the 25-point victory.

The Lady Quakers (3-0), who did not trail in the contest, jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the game and did not look back. The team was up 45-24 at the half and held a 28-point lead multiple times in the game.

No Lady Quaker played more than 22 minutes in the contest, while all 19 players on the roster saw playing time and 15 scored.

Megan Woodruff (New Vienna/East Clinton) scored 11 points and dished out a game-high four assists.

The Green and White defense played another strong game, as the team did not let anyone score more than nine points for the second straight game.

Erica Rock led Bluffton with nine points and eight rebounds in the loss.

The next game for the Green and White is set for Saturday, November 30, when the team takes on nationally ranked Case Western Reserve University with tip-off set for 3:00 p.m.
