Rausch named preseason 1st Team All-American

D3hoops.com puts her on first team with four others

(WC Press Release) Wilmington, OH (November 17, 2003) -- Wilmington College senior forward Tara Rausch (Marysville/Fairbanks) has been tabbed as one of five preseason All-American firs team members on the internet web site d3hoops.com.

Rausch shares the first team with Tiffini Varrasse of Kings, Lora Trenkle of Bowdoin, Allison Coleman of Eastern Connecticut and Courtney Johnson of Pacific Lutheran. Rausch was the OAC Player of the Year in 2002-03.

She averaged 19.5 points and 8.9 rebounds per game in leading the team to the "Sweet 16" round of the NCAA Tournament. She is currently eighth in career scoring at WC, while sitting seventh in total rebounds.

The Lady Quakers open their season on November 21 when the team plays against Thomas More College in the first round of the Damon's/Wilmington Inn Tip-Off Tournament.
