ATLANTA — Wilmington College senior Siobhan Zerilla (Cincinnati/Mercy) has been named as one of 40 finalists for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA)/Kodak All-America Basketball Team.

The 40 finalists, who are voted upon by WBCA member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions, are now in the running for selection to the 10-member Kodak/WBCA All-America First Team.

The All-America First Team will be announced at the NCAA Division III Banquet of Champions on March 17, 2005 in Norfolk, Virginia.

Zerilla averaged 11.3 points and 10.9 rebounds for the 2004-05 season. She ended the season with the 10th highest career rebounding total in NCAA Division III history, 1,330 career rebounds, which is also a school record by almost 200 rebounds.

She also scored 316 points on the season, getting her 1,000th career point against Marietta on December 30.

Her 305 rebounds on the year was the sixth highest single season total in school history, as she holds four of the top six marks.

Zerilla is joined on the Region 6 team by Leigh Sulkowski of Washington and Jefferson, Sarah Caskey of Albion, Amy Argetsinger of DePauw and Kelly Heil of Ohio Wesleyan.

Founded in 1981, the WBCA promotes women's basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport and to foster and promote the development of the game as an amateur sport for women and girls.
