named finalist for All-American squad

ATLANTA
Wilmington College senior Siobhan Zerilla (Cincinnati/Mercy)
has been named as one of 40 finalists for the Women's Basketball
Coaches Association (WBCA)/Kodak All-America Basketball Team.
The
40 finalists, who are voted upon by WBCA member coaches in
each of the eight WBCA geographical regions, are now in the
running for selection to the 10-member Kodak/WBCA All-America
First Team.
The
All-America First Team will be announced at the NCAA Division
III Banquet of Champions on March 17, 2005 in Norfolk, Virginia.
Zerilla
averaged 11.3 points and 10.9 rebounds for the 2004-05 season.
She ended the season with the 10th highest career rebounding
total in NCAA Division III history, 1,330 career rebounds,
which is also a school record by almost 200 rebounds.
She
also scored 316 points on the season, getting her 1,000th
career point against Marietta on December 30.
Her
305 rebounds on the year was the sixth highest single season
total in school history, as she holds four of the top six
marks.
Zerilla is joined on the Region 6 team by Leigh Sulkowski
of Washington and Jefferson, Sarah Caskey of Albion, Amy Argetsinger
of DePauw and Kelly Heil of Ohio Wesleyan.
Founded
in 1981, the WBCA promotes women's basketball by unifying
coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for
the sport and to foster and promote the development of the
game as an amateur sport for women and girls.
