WILMINGTON, Ohio — Wilmington College senior Siobhan Zerilla (Cincinnati/Mercy) was named to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference First Team voted on by the league head coaches announced on Wednesday.

Zerilla is joined by Courtney Balser (Pleasant Plain/Little Miami), who earned second-team honors, while Sam Hood (Lockbourne/Teays Valley) and Katie Streck (Dayton/Carroll) were each named to the Honorable Mention squad.

Zerilla ended her four-year career with the Lady Quakers as the school's all-time leading rebounder, with 1,330 career boards, also good for the 10th highest total in NCAA Division III history, while also scoring over 1,000 points in her career. She was the only player in the OAC to average a double-double this past season, scoring 11.3 points while pulling down 10.9 rebounds per game.

Her 305 rebounds on the season is the sixth highest single season total in school history, as she now holds four of the top six marks. Her career .536 field goal percentage is the school record in the category, as she has hit 441-of-822 shots in her career.

Sam Hood

Balser, a junior in her first year with the WC program, led the team by averaging 12.2 points per game, while also pulling down 4.8 rebounds per game. She hit 82.1 percent (78-of-95) of her free throws, the fifth best single-season total in school history.

Hood, a sophomore point guard, makes her first appearance on the All-League team after scoring 6.0 points per game and dishing out 120 assists on the year for an average of 4.3 per game. Her 269 assists for her career puts her in fifth all-time in Lady Quaker history, while her 120 assists this year is the eighth best single season total in school history.

Streck, one of five freshman named to one of the three teams, earned honorable mention honors. She scored 311 points on the year for an average of 11.5 per game, while pulling down 5.5 rebounds per game. She blocked a team-high 15 shots while picking off 29 steals to lead the team. Her 55.1% (118-of-214) from the field is the fifth best season total in school history.

Katie Streck

The Lady Quakers ended the 2004-05 season with a 23-5 record, and were Co-Champions of the Ohio Athletic Conference. The 23 wins is the fourth straight season that the Lady Quakers have reached the 20-win plateau, and the eighth of the last nine years. The team fell in the OAC Tournament Championship game to Baldwin-Wallace College by a 81-59 score, and fell short of one of the seven Pool C bids to the NCAA Tournament.
