Trio of Lady Quakers received All Conference Honors

WILMINGTON -- (February 28, 2003) ­

The Ohio Athletic Conference announced the 2003 basketball special award winners. Three Wilmington College Lady Quakes earned their names on this list. Junior Tara Rausch was named to the All-OAC basketball First Team, senior Megan Woodruff was named to the All-OAC Second Team, and sophomore Siobhan Zerilla was named All-OAC Honorable Mention. Head coach Jerry Scheve was named the OAC Womenıs Coach-of-the Year as his team has complied an overall record of 23-2 this season.

Rausch (Marysville/Fairbanks) was also the recipient of the 2003 Helen Ludwig Award, which is presented to the most outstanding player in the conference. Rausch led the conference in scoring averaging 20.2 points per game, and in field goal percentage (.591), and she is averaging 9.2 rebounds per game which has ranked her all season in the top five in the conference. She is ninth in school history with 1,166 points and seventh in career rebounds with 632. Rausch also earned All-OAC First Team honors in 2002.

Woodruff (New Vienna/East Clinton) was named to the All-OAC Second Team. She is averaging 17.6 points per game and 7.4 assists per game for the Lady Quakers, and is shooting 87.4% from the free throw line. In 2002, Woodruff was named to the OAC First Team, and in 2001 she earned OAC Second Team honors.

Zerilla was named All-OAC Honorable mention averaging 12.5 rebounds and 10 points per game. Zerilla was an All-OAC Honorable Mention in 2002 as well.
