Trio of Lady Quakers named Academic All-Conference

WILMINGTON -- (February 26, 2003) ­ The Wilmington College Lady Quakers put a trio of players, Megan Woodruff (New Vienna/East Clinton), Shari Stauffer (Versailles/Versailles) and Amy Kincer (Englewood/Northmont) on the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference first and second teams.

Woodruff and Stauffer were both named to the first team while Kincer was the lone Lady Quaker on the second squad.

Woodruff, a 5-5 senior point guard has a perfect 4.0 grade point average in Athletic Training. She is currently second in the OAC in scoring, averaging 17.6 points while dishing out a conference leading 185 assists. She is also first in school history in career assists and season assists, while holding onto four of the top eight single season free throw percentages in school history.

Stauffer is a 5-8 senior forward who is working on her degree in Early Childhood Education, and has a 3.8 grade point average. She currently stands in fifth place in career rebounding, having pulled down 90 rebounds in her four-year career. She is also ranked in the top-10 in the OAC in rebounding and stands 21st in single season rebounding in school history with 188 on the year.

Kincer, the 5-8 shooting guard has a 3.96 grade point average in education. She is averaging 9.8 points and 3.4 assists this sesaon in addition to dishing out 50 assists.

The team is currently ranked #6 in Division III while being top seed in the OAC Tournament. Their next game is on Friday, February 28 when they face off against the Purple Raiders of Mount Union College in the OAC Tournament Semi-Finals at Baldwin-Wallace College, as the team is attempting to defend their crown.
