Rausch named Co-OAC Player of the Week

WILMINGTON - (February 22, 2003) ­ For the second consecutive week, Wilmington College junior forward Tara Rausch (Marysville/Fairbanks) has been named the OAC Player of the Week.

Rausch shares the honor this week with Muskingum senior center Jessica Gates. In two games last week Rausch was 28-of-34 (.824) from the field. She poured in 71 points, pulled down 14 rebounds and had three assists. She was also 14-of-20 from the charity stripe.

On Saturday, Rausch scored a career-high 38 points, the fourth highest single game total in school history, and the eighth highest total in OAC History while being the highest total scored in an OAC game this year.

Rausch is currently the top scorer in the OAC averaging 20.6 points per contest.

The Lady Quakers are currently 22-2 on the season and are the top seed in the OAC Tournament. The next game for the Green and White is on Tuesday, February 25 when they play host to the winner of tonightıs Marietta vs. Muskingum game.
