Rausch named OAC Player of the Week

WILMINGTON - (February 18, 2003) ­ Wilmington College junior Tara Rausch (Marysville/Fairbanks) has been named the OAC Player of the Week for the week of February 10 through February 15. In two games during the week,

Rausch was 21-of-29 from the field (72.4%). She scored 47 points, pulled down 25 rebounds and had three assists. She was also 5-of-7 (71.4%) from the charity stripe. The Lady Quakers won both of the games during the week with an 81-54 victory over Muskingum and an 82-79 win against Mount Union.

With the Mount Union victory, the Lady Quakers tied the school record that they set last season with 16 consecutive victories while also winning their 20th game of the season for the seventh time in school history, and sixth in the past seven seasons.

The team is currently 20-2 on the year and 15-1 in conference play. They have games this week at Otterbein on Wednesday and at Heidelberg on Saturday before starting the OAC Tournament.
