Rausch named OAC Player of the Week...again

Rausch earns fourth league honor in last eight weeks

(WC Press Release) Wilmington, Ohio (February 16, 2004) -- Wilmington College senior forward Tara Rausch (Marysville/Fairbanks) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, and for the fourth time in the past eight weeks.

Rausch averaged a double-double last week with 22.5 points and 22.0 rebounds per game. She pulled down a school-record 25 rebounds in the team's victory over Muskingum. She became just the second player in Lady Quaker basketball history to pull down 900 rebounds in a career.

On the season Rausch is averaging a conference best 19.5 points and 11.1 rebounds, while also leading the conference in blocked shots with 34.

Rausch also won the award for the weeks of December 21, January 11 and February 8. The Lady Quakers are currently 17-5 overall and are in a four-way tie for first place in the league with a 13-3 record.

The team plays Otterbein College, who is also in the four-way tie for first, on Wednesday, with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
