Woodruff named OAC Player-of-the-week

TWINSBURG, Ohio (January 27, 2003) ­ Wilmington College senior point guard Megan Woodruff (New Vienna/East Clinton) has been named the OAC Player-of-the-Week by the Ohio Athletic Conference.

The senior guard tallied 43 points (21.5 ppg) in wins against Capital and eighth ranked Baldwin-Wallace last week. Woodruff also added 19 assists and eight rebounds. She shot .455 from three-point range and was a perfect 16-of-16 from the charity stripe. During the Baldwin-Wallace game she moved into fifth in career scoring at WC.

The Lady Quakers are currently 14-2 on the year and 9-1 in the OAC, good for first place. In their last game the Green and White defeated the eighth ranked team in the nation Baldwin-Wallace 83-62 on Saturday. The next game for the Lady Quakers is on Wednesday, January 29 then the team hosts the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern University with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
