Rausch named OAC Player of the Week

Rausch earns second Player of the Week honor this season

(WC Press Release) Wilmington, OH (January 12, 2004) -- Wilmington College senior forward Tara Rausch (Marysville/Fairbanks) has been named the OAC Player of the Week for the week ending January 10.

The senior averaged 24.5 points and 12.5 rebounds, in addition to blocking seven shots and grabbing four steals. She also set a new career high with four blocked shots against Mount Union.

Rausch is leading the Ohio Athletic Conferrence in scoring, putting up 20.8 points per game, while also leading the 10-team league in blocked shots per game (1.5) and sitting second in rebounding, averaging 10.2, as the only player in the league averaging a double-double.

The Lady Quakers are currently 9-3 on the season and are tied for the lead in the OAC with a 5-1 league record.

The next game for the Green and White is on Wednesday, January 15 when the team travels to Westerville, Ohio to face off against the Lady Cardinals of Otterbein College with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
