TWINSBURG
Wilmington college junior point guard Sam Hood and
junior post Kelly Peters were among four Lady Quakers who
received Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors. Hood
and Peters were Academic All-OAC while junior forward Katie
Streck and sophomore guard Jackie Hauke were Academic All-OAC
Honorable Mention.
"We
always try to recruit kids that we think are going to be good
players and good students," WC head coach Jerry Scheve said.
"When they get here, we expect them to do well in the classroom.
These kids are all outstanding students; they are all serious
about their education, as well as their basketball. All four
of these kids started every game for us this season. I think
they're representative of the type of kids that we have on
our basketball team."
