Midwest Campus Compact Citizen-Scholar Fellowship Program
The New Horizons Fellowship Program is a new initiative to afford students the opportunity to explore a variety of areas around community service. The program will expose students to a variety of local agencies, which serve a broad population with a variety of issues. Students selected for the program will gain an understanding of community service and service learning while learning about the theory behind such disciplines. Reflective activities will serve as a crucial component to the program and will provide a unique aspect to the on-going meetings the students will attend with the program coordinator.
Upon completion of the New Horizons program, students will receive a $1000.00 voucher from AmeriCorps*. (please note this is a taxable award) This voucher may be applied to student loans after graduation, or outstanding school bills. It is advised that these vouchers are held until after graduation as to not affect your financial aid award. This program is renewable for up to 2-years.
