October 20, 2007

For Russ Miller, Ed Minor, Greg Sczurek and Williams, the journey is complete. The Wilmington College alums were inducted to the College's Athletics Hall of Fame during a dinner ceremony Saturday evening on the Wilmington campus.

Myers '66 was honored for his pioneering career in athletic training that started at Wilmington College and traveled across the nation and around the world.

Minor '82 joins the Hall of Fame as a standout member of Wilmington College's football team in the late 1970s and early '80s, a career that included a trip to the NAIA national championship game.

Sczurek '92 earned his place in the Hall of Fame on the strength of a soccer career that started in Wilmington and continued in the professional ranks.

Williams '97 was a first-ballot Hall of Famer, a tribute to a soccer career that produced three All-American and Academic All-American awards and placed her atop nearly every WC offensive record.

The group also was recognized during a halftime ceremony of the Homecoming football game with Heidelberg.
