Teams perform at All-Ohio

CEDARVILLE, OH – The Wilmington College cross country teams returned to action Saturday at the All-Ohio Championship on the campus of Cedarville University.

The men’s team finished tenth out of 22 Division III schools and was sixth of 10 Ohio Athletic Conference schools.

Junior Alek Erwin (South Vienna, OH/Northeastern) was the top WC placer, crossing the line 21st in the time of 5:19.6. Sophomore Rob King (Washington Court House, OH/Miami Trace) was 38th in the time of 5:26.1.

The Wilmington scoring was rounded out by junior Myles Corcoran (Wilmington, OH/Clinton-Massie) 42nd in 5:27.0, junior Brad Kline (Circleville, OH/Circlevilel) 70th in 5:34.6 and sophomore Jacob Boehm (Blanchester/McNicholas).

The women’s team was 13th of 21 Division III schools and sixth out of 10 OAC teams.

Jenna Parlette (Miamisburg, OH/Miamisburg) continues to lead the women’s team as they await the return of Annie Cekada. She finished tenth in the time of 6:01.5. Sophomore Tricia Steffen (Baltimore, OH/Libert Union), who was battling some injuries, was 51st in 6:24.4.

The final scoring quintet was rounded out by senior Brittany Gibbon (Pleasant Plain, OH/Blanchester) 59th in 6:28.6, Mary Krebs (Kettering, OH/Alter) 92nd in 6:48.8 and senior Karlee Michel (Alexandria, OH/Johnstown Monroe) 94th in 6:51.2.

Both teams will hit the course Saturday at the pre-Nationals at Rose-Hulman.
