Students to Speak on Experiences from Washington DC and South Dakota to Peru and Ethiopia
Testimonials to Highlight Work of Isaac Harvey Fund

Students and recent alumni that have benefited from unique travel experiences will speak on their journeys and how the Isaac Harvey Fund made these experiences possible Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. in the T. Canby Jones Meetinghouse.
Slated to speak are 2012 graduate Patrick Carroll, who attended the Quaker United Nations’ Geneva International Summer School; senior Zachary Glendening and sophomore Ellen Short, who participated in the Friends Committee on National Legislation’s “Spring Lobby Weekend” in Washington D.C.; senior Isaac Garrison, who participated in the Young Adult Friends Conference on Ministry, Earthcare & Social Action at Pendle Hill.
Also, junior Karay Martin, who worked with Pisco Sin Fronteras in Peru; senior Audrey Ingram, who volunteered in Eithiopia with the Yekokeb Berhan program; and sophomore Brianna Knisley, who helped repair homes on South Dakota’s Pine Ridge Reservation.
The Isaac Harvey Fund facilitates and encourages students, faculty and staff to explore Quaker commitments to peace and social justice. Grants, which are available to Quakers and non-Quakers, are intended to supplement the cost of the activities.
Funding is limited and based upon gifts and grants.
