Quakers fall to Mount St. Joseph
Hirtzinger nets first collegiate win

CINCINNATI — Wilmington College lost, 8-1, to Mount St. Joseph in non-conference men’s tennis action Monday afternoon.
The Quakers are now 0-6 on the season while the Lions improve to 5-6.
Wilmington’s lone win was provided by freshman Charles Hirtzinger (Troy), who picked up his first collegiate victory by taking down Matt Schmittou at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-3.
The rest of the meet belonged to the home-standing Lions, who dropped just three games in sweeping the doubles matches.
The Lions continued to roll into singles action, with wins in five of six matches.
Justin Moore (Washington Court House/Washington Senior) dropped a 3-6, 2-6 decision to Tyler Esham at the No. 5 position.
The Quakers will play an OAC meet at Capital at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
