Terry Alton Inlow will present a retrospective featuring four decades of mixed-media, narrative works in Wilmington College’s Harcum Art Gallery beginning Wednesday (Jan. 20) and running through March 6.
An opening and artist’s reception will be held Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. Normal gallery hours are weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by special appointment. Hal Shunk, professor of art, is the gallery director.
The exhibit is titled “An Evolution: The Narrative Works Retrospective 1973-2010.” The mixed media works consist of a central image that is supported by a glypgh — or word bubble.
Inlow, an assistant professor of art, has taught at WC since 1975.
He holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from Alfred University and a master of fine arts from the University of Cincinnati.
Inlow’s works have been shown at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Taft Museum and the Memorial Art Museum in Rochester, N.Y., as well as the A.I.R. Gallery in New York City and the Albright Knox Museum in Buffalo.
He received a Best in Show award in the Professional Division at the 1995 Ohio State Fair.
