Faculty Member Earns Tenure and Promotion

Marta Wilkinson Has Been on English Faculty Since 2006

Marta Wilkinson, assistant professor of English, received tenure and was promoted to associate professor effective with the 2012-13 academic year.

A member of the English faculty since 2006, she earned a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Master of Arts from San Francisco State and her Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Interim President Jim Reynolds lauded Wilkinson for “significant contributions” to the campus community and beyond.

“ I am especially grateful to her for taking on the challenge of revitalizing our Writing Across the Curriculum program,” he said, “and working to help develop a standard by which we can feel confident that our students have been able to progress in their writing skills over their four year experience at Wilmington.”
