Balthis wins two events at Cedarville Invitational
Quakers finish second

Steve Balthis won two events and finished fourth in another at the Cedarville Invitational.
CEDARVILLE — Steve Balthis won a pair of events as Wilmington College finished second in the Cedarville University Invitational Friday night.
The Quakers put 117.5 points on the board. NAIA power Cornerstone won the 17-team event with 131 points.
Balthis (West Alexandria/Twin Valley South) had a monster meet with wins in the high jump (6-4 ¾) and long jump (21-7 ½). The freshman also scored points with a fourth-place finish in the 55-meter hurdles.
Mason Metts (Pomeroy/Meigs) finished second in the shot put with a best effort of 49-3 ½.
Michael Reavis (Huber Heights/Wayne) put together back-to-back personal-best efforts in the weight throw and finished second with a throw of 48-3 ¼.
The 4x200 relay team of Jake Syndor (Batavia/Clermont Northeastern), Derek Kilgo (Charlotte, N.C./North Royalton), Tyrell Richardson (Columbus/Centennial) and Tyler Caudill (Jamestown/Greeneview) finished second in 1:35.04.
Myles Corcoran (Wilmington/Clinton-Massie) finished second at 3,000 meters with a time of 9:19.98.
Graham Morgan (Lebanon) finished third in the pole vault with an effort of 13-7 ¾.
Caudill was third in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.09.
