WILMINGTON ñ The Wilmington College Quakers advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2001 with a 2-0 victory over John Carroll University .  With the victory, head coach Bud Lewis picks up his 400th career win in his 30th season.

Mark Kinsel (Canal Winchester/Canal Winchester) wasted no time finding the back of the net in the game, scoring the eventual game-winning goal from a double assist from Alex Van der Sluijs (Dayton/Carroll) and J.R. Barnhart (Worthington/Thomas Worthington), giving the Quakers a 1-0 lead.  The Kinsel goal was the first and only goal of the opening stanza.

In the second half, Van der Sluijs blasted a shot through the box that deflected off of the goalkeepers fingertips, bounced off of the post and trickled into the back of the net, giving the Quakers a 2-0 goal with 33:40 to play in the game.  The rest of the contest was an attempt at ball control by the Quakers, as they held on for the two-goal win.

Junior goalkeeper Justin Saylor (Cleveland Heights/Cleveland Heights) picked up the shutout for the Quakers, playing all 90 minutes, stopping four shots in the process.

With the win, the Quakers improve to 16-2-2 overall while John Carroll falls to 12-6-0.
