MARQUE JONES
WIDE RECEIVERS

Marque Jones is the dean of the Wilmington College coaching staff, having now coached the Green and White for over a quarter century.

Jones coaches the wide receivers and has helped four of his pupils develop into All-Americans.

He grew up in Miami, Florida, where he was a two-year starter at Curley High School, graduating in 1969.

During his collegiate career with the Quakers, he was a four-year letterwinner (1973-76) as a wide receiver. He caught 39 career passes for 620 yards, averaging 15.8 yards per reception. His most productive season was in 1975, when he hauled in 21 receptions for 310 yards.

Jones graduated from WC in 1977 with a business administration degree, and attended the University of Cincinnati on a graduate honor scholarship. In 1979 he received his master¹s degree from the University of Cincinnati in marketing.

He currently resides in Wilmington with his wife, Terri, and their three children, Daryl, Desiree and Marque.
