Tate named OAC Co-Player of Week

Freshman rushes for 154 yards in win

(WC Press Release) Wilmington, OH (October 27, 2003) -- Wilmington College running back Trae Tate (Lauderdale Lakes, FL/Dillard) was named the OAC Co-Player of the Week after his performance in the team's 37-31 victory over Marietta on Saturday.

The freshman running back rushed for a career-high 154 yards on 26 carries while catching a career-high 5 passes for 51 yards, another career high for a touchdown rushing and receiving.

The Quakers won their first game of the season on Saturday, and now have a 1-6 record overall.

The next game for the Quakers is on Saturday, November 1 when the team travels to Ada to face off against the Polar Bears with kickoff set for 1:30 p.m.
