Quakers to host first annual WC Football Golf Outing

Outing set for July 31 at the Elks Golf Course in Wilmington

(WC Press Release) WILMINGTON, Ohio (June 15, 2004) -- For the first time ever, Wilmington College football is hosting a golf outing to raise funds for the program. The event is scheduled for July 31 at the Elks Golf Course in Wilmington, Ohio. Registration and breakfast start at 8:00 with the shotgun start to go off at 9:00.

The event will be a four-person scramble with a shotgun start, and it will include dinner and awards.

Prizes will be awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin, longest putt made and lowest team score.

Cost for the event is $80.00 for those who pre-register, $90.00 the day of the outing, and $50.00 for those only attending the dinner. All proceeds from this year's event will go towards the purchase of much needed audio-visual equipment, computer software and field equipment to keep the Quaker Football Program among the best in the country.

Event sponsorships are also available. Hole sponsors are $100, hole sponsor and a door prize is $300, hole sponsorship, door prize and sponsor plaque is $500 and hole sponsorship, door prize, sponsor plaque and game day program advertisement is $1,000.
