TWINSBURG — Wilmington College senior forward Eric Stirling was the lone unanimous selection to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference squad. Joining Stirling on the All-OAC team was WC sophomore point guard Zach Broermann, who was Academic All-OAC Honorable Mention.

"This is great for Eric and our program," WC head coach Scott Reule said. "Eric is what you look for in a true student-athlete, as far as his ability to achieve both on the basketball court and in the classroom. He really exemplifies the student-athlete, the well-rounded individual that Division III athletics is all about. He has goals with his education as he does with basketball, and he is committed to reaching those goals. He works hard in both areas.

"As a sophomore, Zach has put himself in company with some very good

student-athletes. We're going to see great things from Zach in his future years at Wilmington College and beyond. He does the things he needs to do that will give him an opportunity to receive awards like this."

Stirling (Brooklyn, N.Y./LaSalle Academy) is a criminal justice major and carries a 3.5 grade-point-average. His career plan is to become a parole officer within the juvenile probation field. On the basketball court, he was All-OAC Second Team and led WC to its first 20-win season in team history. He was among OAC leaders in nearly every statistical category.

Broermann (Brookville, Ind./Franklin County) is an athletic training major and maintains a 3.51 GPA. He plans on either becoming a physical therapist or attending chiropractic school. He was among the OAC's leaders in free throw percentage this season and scored career-high 28 points to lead WC past Capital in the OAC Tournament quarterfinals — Wilmington's first-ever OAC tourney win.
