Charlotte PackCharlotte Pack is an administrative assistant for the Wilmington College Peace Resource Center and the academic departments of Social and Political Studies, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Business Administration. She has been employed at Wilmington College since August 2005. She graduated in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Writing for Social Awareness and Change.
Charlotte has also researched and written about peace activists. Who are activists? Who walks the walk that many just talk? How do peace activists differ from activists in other areas? Very little research has been done on the personality profile and biographical data that distinguishes activists. Charlotte's current research is exploring the key personality traits and biographical pieces that “grow” activists. Preliminary research shows that traits and experiences can separate activists from others, as well as peace activists from other passionate activists. In 2006, Charlotte and Professor of Psychology Dr. Mary Rose Zink presented the preliminary data and advocated for attendees of the International Peace Research Association Conference to participate in their continuing research and to support additional venues for data collection. The first paper will be followed by expanded multi-national research findings to be shared at the 2008 Conference.
