New Month Changes

April 04, 2013

For the next two weeks, I will be doing my athletic training clinical hours at Reconstructive Orthopedics Physical Therapy in Fairfield, Ohio. My ultimate career goal is to go to physical therapy school, so this is an ideal rotation for me. I will also be doing more physical therapy observation over the summer continuing into fall semester as prerequisites for grad school applications. So far, I have been to this rotation twice and I am really enjoying it! I am almost certain I want to work in a clinic setting (as opposed to a school or inpatient setting). I am currently working to complete other prerequisites, which is turning out to be difficult because I waited until my senior year to do a lot of them. So if you are wanting to go to grad school for any subject here is my advice: Think Early! Begin freshman year on prerequisites you may need, because this will be the easiest time to take the classes. Also, take the harder classes first; I still need to take physics (which I consider to be a “hard class”) and I will have to take it senior year. It would have been much more manageable to take it freshman year when my course load was not as demanding.

Another good thing about this rotation is that it is located near Jungle Jim’s International Market Place. I am looking forward to going after my next set of hours next week! If you have followed my blog at all, you know that I am a vegan foodie, so places like Jungle Jim’s excite me.
