A photo of my thanksgiving meal
Contributed by Brad Fuller
What a crazy time of year it is for every college student everywhere. Final papers, last week cramming, projects, final exams… the list goes on. However, the end is finally in sight, and thanksgiving was a great break. For me, fall semester is more difficult than spring. In the spring, we have a weeklong spring break right in the middle of the semester, which provides a good division of days off. In the fall, however, our first break longer than a day doesn’t come until thanksgiving. However, once finals week is here, I will feel a great deal of relaxation as classes slowly come to an end throughout the week.
Over thanksgiving break, I did what the same thing most students did; full workouts, lots of sleep, lots of eating. It was nice to go home and prepare a vegan thanksgiving meal with my family (no, this is not an un-American practice). I also had time to listen to music, which I feel I have not had nearly enough time to dedicate to. My favorite album I listened to, listed below, is one I highly recommend to anyone that has ever liked ambient music or post rock/grunge sound; a very unique blend.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor – ‘Allelujah! Don’t Bend! Ascend!
