We have finally reached the point in the semester where classes are beginning to wind down and final exam preparation has begun. However, this means that final papers and a final sprint to the end has also begun. As I may have said before, this semester has been my toughest, but that was partly my fault. I knew since the beginning of my Freshman year that I needed to take certain prerequisites for physical therapy school, so this semester I am in three classes I need for that. On top of research in Athletic Training and my senior sport, it is a lot. So here is my advice to incoming students: if you know you want to go to grad school for any reason, work on the requirements early and spread them out evenly! This may mean taking a couple courses over the summer, which is not always fun but it will save you the stress of trying to take everything senior year, which happened to me.

That being said, I have learned a ton this semester, especially with my senior sport for Athletic Training. For the senior sports, we are basically the one student that is supposed to do most of the work, which leads to a lot of learning. With men’s basketball, we have already experienced a number of injuries, all of which I was able to learn how to initially manage and rehabilitate. This will definitely help me in my future as a physical therapist!
