Wilmington College has athletic facilities much larger schools envy. Our soccer teams play in the lighted Charlie Gilhart Field; football games are played on Townsend Field in 3,500-seat Williams Stadium; and cross country meets are run through Hazard Arboretum.
Hermann Court, WC's athletics complex, features the modern 3,500-seat Fred Raizk Arena that is home to the College's volleyball, wrestling and men's and women's basketball teams. In the spring, the tennis teams have six on-campus tennis courts; the track and field teams train and compete on the newly resurfaced, all-weather Beckett Track; the softball team plays at the campus' top-notch softball field; and the baseball team competes at Tewksbury-Delaney Field.
While the local country club is home to the golf team, all of the other athletic facilities, fields and arenas are contiguous parts of the campus. Also, Wilmington College features an Olympic-sized natatorium, multiple practice fields, a weight training room and the Clinton County YMCA, which is adjacent to the physical education complex and available for student use.
The College's newly expanded athletic training room is a modern facility designed to facilitate practical experience for our athletic training majors, as well as keep our athletes in top shape.
Also, Wilmington features a 24-stall equine center with a 72 x 152-foot indoor arena.
