Minor in Agriculture

Students with a major in another area of study may declare a Minor in Agriculture in Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Animal Science, or Horticulture.

AGRICULTURE MINOR WITH AGRICULTURE BUSINESS/ECONOMICS CONCENTRATION
A total of 18 hours is required.

Required courses:
AGR122 Agricultural Economics (3)
AGR405 Farm Management (4)
and 11 hours from AGR courses, including 5 hours at the 300- or 400-level.

AGRICULTURE MINOR WITH AGRONOMY CONCENTRATION
A total of 22 hours is required.

Required courses:
AGR108 Principles of Crop and Animal Production I (4)
AGR109 Principles of Crop and Animal Production II (3)
AGR317 Soils (4)
CHM211 Principles of Chemistry I (4)
and 7 hours from AGR courses, including 5 hours at the 300- or 400-level.

AGRICULTURE MINOR WITH ANIMAL SCIENCE CONCENTRATION
A total of 22 hours is required.

Required courses:
AGR108 Principles of Crop and Animal Production I (4)
AGR109 Principles of Crop and Animal Production II (3)
AGR312 Animal Nutrition (4)
CHM211 Principles of Chemistry I (4)
and 7 hours of electives from AGR courses, including 5 hours at the 300- or 400-level.

AGRICULTURE MINOR WITH HORTICULTURE CONCENTRATION
A total of 18 hours is required.

AGR405 Farm Management (4)
and 10 hours from AGR courses, including 5 hours at the 300- or 400-level.
