2013 - 2014 Scholarship & Awards Program
The following scholarships and awards are available to first-time freshmen students entering in the 2013 fall semester and 2014 spring semester at Wilmington College. Recipients must be full-time students on the main campus. Scholarships and awards are renewable each year providing the student maintains eligibility requirements specific to the award.
Please Note: The Wilmington College Academic Achievement Scholarship, Awards of Circumstance and Transfer Awards are awarded at the time of admission. The Wilmington Scholars Program are by invitation only and the WC Departmental Awards and Heritage Awards require a scholarship application to be submitted. The scholarship applications will be available to students upon admission to the College.

Applicants must be accepted to the College no later than December 1st, 2013 in order to be considered for an invitation
2014 Scholarship Competition Dates:

Students will be invited to compete for the following four year scholarships:
Presidential - Full Cost of Attendance Awards (stipend totaling
approximately $37,000 for the 2012-2013 academic year and over
$125,000 for four years)
Dean's - $22,500 per year
Faculty - $20,000 per year
Trustee - $17,500 per year -
Eligibility to participate will be based on prior academic performance

Scholarship Criteria:
$13,000 - Student must have a composite ACT of 27 or higher or and SAT score of 1220 (Critical Reading and Math only)$11,000 - Minimum of a 3.5 cumulative high school GPA AND and an ACT/SAT score ranging from 21/980 - 26/1210
(SAT Critical Reading and Math only)
$8,500 - Cumulative high school GPA range of a 3.0 - 3.49 AND and an ACT/SAT score ranging from 21/980 - 26/1210
(SAT Critical Reading and Math only)
$6,000 - Minimum of a 3.5 cumulative high school GPA AND an ACT/SAT score ranging from 21/980 - 26/1210
(SAT Critical Reading and Math only) -OR- A combination of a maximum cumulative high school GPA of 2.99 AND a composite ACT/SAT score ranging from a 23/1070 - 26/1210 (SAT Critical Reading and Math only)

- Must be a member of PTK
- Verification of membership is required by notification on College transcript or copy

Southern State Community College Transfer Scholarship - 1
- $12,000 per year
- Must have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours of transferable college coursework from Southern State Community College and transfer directly from Southern State
- Must have a cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher
- May be combined with Heritage awards
- Available regardless of need
Southern State Community College Scholarship - 2
- $2,000 per year
- For students with a 2.99 college GPA and below with 24+ semester hours of completed college work from Southern State Community College
- Southern State Community College must be the most recent college attended
- Awarded to transferring students only (not available to PSEO or Dual Enrollment students)
- May be combined with Heritage awards
- Available regardless of need
Sinclair Community College Transfer Scholarship
- $12,000 per year
- Must have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours of transferable college coursework from Sinclair Community College and transfer directly from Sinclair
- Must have a cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher
- May be combined with Heritage awards
- Available regardless of need
Columbus State Community College Transfer Scholarship
- $12,000 per year
- Must have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours of transferable college coursework from Columbus State Community College and transfer directly from Columbus State
- Must have a cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher
- May be combined with Heritage awards
- Available regardless of need
Clark State Community College Transfer Scholarship
- $12,000 per year
- Must have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours of transferable college coursework from Clark State Community College and transfer directly from Clark State
