Demolition - Spring 2007A College Street landmark residence/apartment building recently purchased by Wilmington College was demolished this spring (May 2007) because of its very poor condition. READ IN 2007 in Watson LibraryProfessor of Education Gloria Flaherty organized a well-attended READ IN 2007, cosponsored by Watson Library, Thursday, October 4, to draw attention to the issue of book banning and censorship. Faculty and students read aloud for 10 minutes each from adult and children's books that have been the targets of efforts to censor or ban from libraries and classrooms in the United States. |
