Each student intending to graduate from Wilmington College must complete a major field of study approved by the College. A major requires no fewer than 30 semester hours of credit and normally is no more than 42 hours of credit. One half of the required number of hours must be taken in courses numbered in the 300s and 400s (e.g., if the major requires 33 hours at least 17 must be in courses numbered 300 or 400).
In addition, no more than 66 out of the 124 semester hours required for graduation may be taken from any one academic department. At least 40 hours of the 124 semester hours required for graduation must be upper-division courses, i.e., courses numbered in the 300s and 400s. A second major may be completed as long as the rules in this paragraph are not violated. One or two minors may also be completed, although a minor is not required for graduation.
