Christian, Jew and Muslim to Lead Discussion on Peace

'An Interfaith Conversation About Peace: Am I My Brother"s Keeper?'

Representatives of three of the world's major religions will lead a panel discussion about peace at Wilmington College Sept. 12, at 7 p.m., in the T. Canby Jones Meetinghouse.

The Meriam R. Hare Quaker Heritage Center and music professor Catherine Roma's Peace and Justice class are presenting the program, "An Interfaith Conversation About Peace: Am I My Brother’s Keeper?," as a form for thinking about the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and the United Nation's International Day of Peace (Sept. 21).

Featured will be Dr. Shakila Ahmad, a founding member of Muslim Mothers Against Violence; Rabbi Gary Zola, executive director of The Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives and Professor of American History at Hebrew Union College; and the Rev. Damon Lynch III, minister at New Prospect Baptist Church in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine neighborhood.
