Leadership Minor

Leadership encompasses many talents including the ability to influence, create vision, develop mission, inspire, empower, find win-win solutions, think critically, understand multiple realities, as well as learn specific skills.

 Great leaders who have been positive change agents in our world have emerged from diverse cultures, races, genders, and personalities, but all have a strong sense of ethics and have spoken truth to power.  They lead as if people really matter, with value-centered leadership and as servant leaders.  Great leaders make a positive difference in the lives of others and are what employers’ desire. 

The Leadership Minor at Wilmington College gives students an academic grounding in the theory of leadership and a deep understanding of organizational culture and change.  It will also teach critical leadership skills, and afford them opportunities for practical application in-line with the College’s educational mission and core values.  Students take a core of classes as a basis for the minor and focus on electives that enhance their major areas or the college’s core values.
