Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.

Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. is the only Predominately African American fraternity at Wilmington College.

Wilmington’s Beta Delta chapter came onto campus in the early 1980’s and remained until 2000, but returned to the yard October 2012. The Iota’s remain vigilant in the Development and Perpetuation of Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity and Brotherhood.

Iota Phi Theta has more than 250 chapters and approximately 30,000 members, and is affliated with the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and the National Interfraternity Conference (NIC). The organization was founded September 19, 1963 at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.
